Chess is a two player strategic game which requires a lot of patience and solid life principles to excel.

We have one such jewel in our school Abhishek Nayak of Class 6 – A, who has excelled tremendously in this brain game.

He started playing with his grandfather when he was nine years old. And since then his family has been like a pillar of support motivating and encouraging him to excel in Chess.

He played his first chess tournament when he was in class 2 and has participated in under 11, 13/17 State Level Chess Championships. In the year 2015 he cleared the state level chess championship and got an opportunity to play in the national level.
SVD Children’s Meet was organized in Rourkela in the month of November. A team of 25 children were encouraged to participate in SVD Children’s Meet.
It was a very inspirational, motivating and educative enthusiastic trip.
Our School secured 1st position in Debate Competition. Dinesh and Lohit participated and excelled among 20 participants. They spoke excellently which helped to grab the prize.
Our School secured 3rd position in the Skit and many individual prizes in various events..
